So, I'm new to the multiplayer scene and I want to become a competitive racer.

But I've had these "bouts of addiction" with this game off and on for as long as I can remember, really. I remember being insanely excited when NFM2 came out.

And, naturally, now that I have some spare time, I'd like to be a part of the competition. How can I really train to become an actual contender?

The way I'm starting is just to complete both games solely using Nimi (I read the Competitve NFM'ing post). What do I do from there? Or will that be all the time I need before plunging in and getting hands-on experience?

Gosh, I feel like such a noob. >.>

Welcome to AIM, hope you have a good time here.

Since your curious at NFMM competitive wise, i'll just throw it out there: it varies from NFM2. The physics aren't the same. An example would be like hitting a car on your screen when your wasting, but all you get is recoil and the other person don't receive any damage.

This and this might interest you since your looking for stuff Mulitplayer related.

Interesting indeed. Other than lag-related stuff, though, isn't it the same?

Hello Shadow Master! Very Happy

So you wanna be a competitive NFM'er, huh? Razz

Here's a useful suggestion:

Try completing 4 Dimensional Vertigo with Drifter X. It's gonna be real hard, and sometimes it's gonna seem almost impossible, but once you've completed this challenge, it's gonna become a piece of cake. Believe me, you're gonna feel a hundred times better in NFM'ing.

I've got another strategy which I learned from IP, but I'll tell you about it later.

Hope you enjoy your time here! Smile
