| Urban Dictionary (for Need For Madness/Multiplayer)
"4DV" One of the only track abbreviations standing for "Four Dimensional Vertigo", or NFM2 Stage 16.
"AB" A commonly used abbreviation meaning "aerial boost" (also known as "gliding") where a car with high stunts speeds through the air.
"AFK" A term used in many real-time games where a player leaves his computer.
"AV" A common abbreviation for the server "Avenger". Frequently followed by a number [1-5] representing the room.
"Bg" An abbreviation used after a match meaning "bad game". Commonly used after someone says "gg" when the opponent thinks otherwise.
"BL" An acronym meaning "Bad Landing". This may also mean "Bad Luck" when used before games.
"BLG" An abbreviation meaning "Bad Landing Glitch", in which the car flips over when landing upright.
"Bouncing" A technique best done through a car with high stunts that speeds up a racing player (appears as though they are bouncing). Also done right after a Bad Landing to dodge oncoming wasters.
"BS" An acronym meaning "Buena Suerte," or in English, "Good Luck." The obvious meaning is more common, however.
"CHK" or "CP" An abbreviation meaning "checkpoint".
"Clan" A group of people in Aim who war together, fight together, and/or strategize together.
"Client" or "Clent" A term referring to an edited NFMM version. Often used sarcastically accusing someone of hacking.
"CMF" An acronym meaning "Car Maker Forums", referring to Omar's (game creator's) NFM forums.
"Conn" An abbreviation for "connection."
"Crate An abbreviation meaning "create" usually referring to creating a game.
"Custom" A car/track not made in the original game.
"Dom" A common abbreviation for the server "Dominion". Frequently followed by a number [1-5] representing the room.
"Gg" An acronym used after a match meaning "good game".
"Gl" An acronym used before a match meaning "good luck".
"GLAW" An acronym meaning "Good luck, and waste."
"Gliding" See "AB".
"Go back to Dominion" A commonly used expression when a noob/OP-user comes into Avenger where skillful players are having matches.
"GR" A common acronym for the server "Ghost Rider". Frequently followed by a number [1-5] representing the room. This server is now removed from NFMM, however.
"Hacker" An old term used when people hacked stats in NFMM which was occasionally used against people using the color black. Alternatively, a player executing an impressive or seemingly unrealistic action is sometimes jokingly called a "hacker".
"Humping" A wasting technique unique to DR Monstaa where, on a direct hit, he bounces up and down on his victim after he initially hits them.
"Hypergliding" A racing technique. A faster type of gliding often achievable through larger cars such as MASHEEN.
"Lag" A term used loosely describing various things including: natural game-delay; personal connection speed; personal processor speed. This affects the way in which one must hit a car and occasionally the location one perceives a car to be.
"Lag trail" A term referring to a user's lag trail. This is also known as a user's delay. When one drives, people see one's car behind where it really is due to lag. The greater the lag trail, the further behind people see one's car from where it actually is.
"Lagz0r" or "Laggy noob" A derogatory term for someone whose inadequate connection gives them an advantage of some kind.
"Mlg" An acronym meaning "major league gaming." Often used sarcastically.
"Noob" A term often used signifying a newcomer or someone not skilled at the game.
"Noobsta" A derogatory term for a DR Monstaa user.
"Nuke" See "OP". Also may refer to a (usually) custom car which does massive damage in one hit through nuking (see below).
"Nuking" A technique where a weak car inflicts massive damage to a strong car {usually} through abuse of lag.
"OHKO" An acronym often used in wrestling meaning "One Hit Knockout". In NFM, this is where a player wastes another in one collision.
"OP" An acronym meaning "overpowered". This signifies a car whose stats are over-the-top.
"S&G" An acronym meaning "stop and go", a technique used in order to lag a car directly behind you, often used when guarding the fix hoop working best with Formula 7.
"Screwing" A technique where a car performs stunts while gliding and/or bouncing.
"Shat filter" A derogatory term for the "chat filter" in the game, making fun of it. (This term was created from a typo by Luigi)
"SHEEN" A nickname for the car MASHEEN.
"Slo-mo (lag)" A term referring to a type of lag in NFMM that causes a car to appear to be moving super slowly, often involving teleporting.
"Teleporter" A term describing someone with a poor connection whose car appears to be teleporting from place to place.
"Troll" Various meanings. Often referred to someone who joined a match not created for them to delay the game. Now with private games, this usually is a derogatory term for someone who frustrates or annoys others for a reaction.
"Trolladical" A derogatory term for a Radical One user.
"Type-hitter" Someone who inflicts damage on a player who is typing in the chatbar.
"x/y" With x and y both being a number. This is said often in conjunction with a racer's name, signifying the lap number the racer is on. For example, "ACV 7/10" may be said in Mad Party (MP), meaning "ACVoong is on lap 7 out of 10 laps." This is often an implied command for wasters to arrowlock the player in question.
"TS", "F7", "WC", "LVC", "LO", "KK", "DX", "SoJ", "HR", "M8", "SHEEN", "R1", "DRM" Car acronyms for: Tornado Shark, Formula 7, Wow Caninaro, La Vita Crab, Lead Oxide, Kool Kat, Drifter X, Sword of Justice, High Rider, Mighty Eight, MASHEEN, Radical One, DR Monstaa.
(Track name abbreviations are simply a piece of the name taken out. IE: Paninaro = Paninaro, Caninaro, Let's fly!".)
"ER", "MW", "-U-", "DET", "TAS", "TA", "EX", "NR", "TF7", "HS" Clan abbreviations for: Elites Reborn, Most Wanted, -Unleashed- Crew, DETERMINATION, Team Arcane Shards, Team Aero, ~Exclusive Crew~, Night Raid, Team Formula 7, Hydro Spectrum
----------------------
Thanks guys. This topic was made to help newcomers follow words/phrases/expressions that are commonly used in NFM. Please post if you feel there is anything that should be added to the dictionary (try putting yourself in the shoes of someone who just started playing NFM).

| You also forgot to put what a "Nuke" is, sense it also ties in with the term "OP" somewhat. |

| Thanks for all the positive feedback =D Also, the dictionary has been updated with suggestions.
(I know "noob" seems like a pretty known term, but I thought OP was pretty known too and it turns out Kaffein didn't know it, so I just figured I'd add in all terms that aren't deducible.) |

| Useful topic, although. I think you may want to add "Wall rape"? Since it does happen a lot as well as the others. |

| True Psychic, although I never really talk about that very often. Like when someone gets smashed into the wall in NFMM, no one really says anything on the chat other than "pwnage" or something. |

| Hmm... Pwnage. That should be added to the dictionary. At least it's better used than wall-rape. Also, death loop mostly happens to everyone. I'm not kidding. |

*An appropriate term Anyways, you should include "DRM" for DR Monstaa abbreviation. Also, you should probably specific what "DALE" is used for (contact Prayers for more information). I don't really know where "Puppy Guarding" came from (but then again, I don't really play w/ fixes so I don't even remember if we have a name for that or you're just making that up probably the latter) |

| Well, "puppy guarding" to me is a universal term for standing guard over something. Like in a game called "capture the flag", sitting right in front of the flag would be "puppy guarding".
Added the DR Monstaa abbreviation. Will see when DALE is used. |

| What about MAX Revenge abbreviation? It could be MR or either just MAX. I use MR lots of times now. |

| Eh... It's not consistent enough to put down, IMO. I was about to add "Maxy" or "Max" (that's what I call it sometimes), but you don't see people saying "Max" for MAX Revenge as often as let's say "R1" for Radical One.
But I like the thinking. |

I'm not a fan, I'm the one that normally rages @ people for having "dsl", dial up and walmart connection I created that term, I think I'm the one that also started the dominion thing too if I remember correctly. I honestly wish DALE wasn't so famous AND GO TO HELL THE PEOPLE THAT USE IT BACKWARDS |
