PostSubject: Where do we draw the line for hacks?   Where do we draw the line for hacks? Icon_minitimeThu 02 Apr 2020, 8:39 am

I know this is a controversial topic, but where do we draw the line for "hacks"? I mean of course the players who uses high speed and infinite health hacks are od-ing it, but does that cut slack for other users? I know, bad mouth me now on how i barely know sh1t, (which is true) but i seen users who glitch on screen and who levitate in mid air. R1's taking more of a beating than they should and delivering "nukes" that can wipe out a MASHEEN with no consequences onto their health bar what so ever. Everytime I ask about these sort of things, the only answers I've ever gotten was "slower internet speed" and "physic adjustments" to their cars. Many won't consider it hacking nor cheating what so ever but to be honest, it does put them at an unfair advantage toward users who don't tinker with the game at all, and play the game for how it's ran. Of course I take into consideration if the user have gotten a clean hit and what stats their car has. However, they're still many times i gasp in awe when I do see these game glitches ;knowing dam well they tinker with some sort of codes to the game to give them that unfair advantage. If you ask me, I think what these users are doing are as bad as the users who uses cheat engine. it put them at an unfair advantage. Even if they're pros at the game, a pro who at the same skill level and who does not tinker with the game what so ever will not have a fair chance of winning. At the end of the day it's call cheating. To be honest, I'm not too triggered from it; however, I get p1ss off from the fact that people would turn a blind eye when they see that going on but be quick to throw stones (figuratively) at the users who uses cheat engine. At the end of the day, they're BOTH CHEATING!!

P.S.

I'm not falling for that whole "It'S bEcAuSe My InTeRnEt SpEeDs ArE sLoWeR" spill. It may be part of it, but my internet someday can be running slow as jack sh1t and it still wouldn't allow be to levitate over cars!

Edit: Not talking about ariel hopping

Now let all the hate come at me...

You realize that this "levitation" is actually a legitimate mechanic in the game. Cars with high Stunt stats (like R1) can AB, or Aerial Boost, by pressing spacebar and Up and Down at the same time after taking off of a ramp. Then if you land on all four wheels, you can click and hold spacebar at the right time to "bounce," which makes it look like levitation. It's actually a known, legitimate game mechanic.

Yea ik that aspect. I'm talking about when players float in mid air, not hopping at all

No one is fine with it in public games. The game is extremely egoistic (exhibit this topic, you needing to post a topic ranting about something we're all tired of reading about after 9 years of this game) and even those who claim it doesn't affect them, affects them on some level or another.

Please give names and evidence.

This has been around since day 1. Long delays (people connecting to USA from Middle East/Oceania) have to be hit form afar, should be obvious that where you see them is not where they are, so colliding with another car from a different delay will result in this.

MASHEEN has no push-back (I mean getting it push back from hits), it will get hit and thus nuked easily as it stays in a hit for much longer than necessary.

Longer delays have always been like this, you touch them and it flipping hurts. There are many other factors to consider, and many nuances which to this day any veteran can be surprised at never noticing before. There's a lot to consider to be a "pro".

No one disagrees this.

Rebelliousyn wrote:

So far you've proved you don't even know about properly lagging a car, what makes your experience good enough to tell what's clean and what isn't? What's a clean hitto you? There are so many factors in play to consider, it's never clear-cut. But yes if a car takes 2% from a MASHEEN, yes something's fucky there.

Rebelliousyn wrote:

Please let us know if you know how to grab a player's car stats.

You can swear on this forum. Please mention and provide proof of "hacking". It's very easy to tell when someone uses cheat engine, made less profound if people know each other. A complete unknown is bad news not knowing where the unknown is going with it.

Rebelliousyn wrote:

And who's gonna police it? Are you advocating for people to counter-hack? That would only lead to resentment amongst us. It's better to simply never hack, period. it gets old, very, very fast.

And this right here confirms you may not actually understand how lag works in the game. Internet stability has done a lot of bullshit for people, and it will continue with the current game implementation and available servers.
